Blessings

It was back in ’08 and I was taking a shower;

excited and terrified, stayed silent for hours. 

 

Days, actually. I stayed silent about it for days…

 

I had heard from our God, and His message was clear.

Telling others, however, the thought drenched in fear.

There was a time for me when things were easier.

No bills, no debt, no troubles for me, sir.

 

Well, actually, I had troubles. 

 

I had been through tough times, and Jim surely knew it;

telling him or my family too early would screw it

 

up. 

 

I finally told Jim, and my family, and friends

about His will from above, and that He had a plan.

 

“I want you to trust Me,”

He said it so clearly.

“…To love Me, believe Me

and always be near Me.

I want you to move now and you can decide

where you’ll settle your bed,

where you’ll stay and reside.”

 

Dropping my bags, I set up the tv.

Made tons of friends and we all played some Wii.

Things had progressed and I got settled in 

made friends like JD, and Dave Henderson.

TK, the St. Johns’, the Redmans and Reeds,

Magliones galore, and a couple of Steves…

 

to rhyme.

 

Volunteering at church and working at noodles

and landing a girlfriend and being a student

isn’t conducive to a bachelor life,

luckily for me 

I acquired a wife. 

 

She’s tastefully tasty

and beautifully grand;

I still get the jitters when she touches my hand…

That was corny. But I don’t care,

She’s my darling, forever,

and ever she there!

 

Life has moved quickly,

at a beautiful pace.

I now work for my church

and I love it so dearly

Three days in the office

and no longer in Greeley…

 

Thank Goodness.

 

I’m in love with my life, 

my Lord

and my wife.

And if I hadn’t listened to the Lord,

my life would suck.

 

It would suck…

 

I’m glad I obeyed,

whatever my reason,

back in ’08, quite peculiar the season

I heard from our Lord;

He directed my path

allowing me to choose 

(which is rather a laugh,)

but I’m tapping here now on these keys with great joy;

my wife is beside me and our pup with new toys.

I’m in love with my life,

my Lord

and my wife;

He always proves faithful

Way, Truth, and Life…

 

Jesus.

 

Four years ago I looked for a place to reside

I now share my bed with my beautiful bride

in Colorado.

 

Colorado.

It rocks.

Come here.

Come see me

I miss you all
